Health and Safety Policy – Statement
Ocean Certification is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all employees and those affected by our activities. Ocean Certification’s activities shall be carried out so as to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the health and safety of any person or property will not be adversely affected. We pay particular attention to the provision and maintenance of:
- A healthy working environment
- Safe arrangements for the use of: handling, storage and transport of articles
- A safe place of work with safe routes of access and egress
- Equipment and systems of work that are safe
- Sufficient information, adequate resources, instruction, training and supervision to enable all employees to avoid hazards and contribute positively to their own health and safety
The requirements of the Health & Safety Policy are clearly communicated to all employees involved within Ocean Certification. The management of health and safety is actively promoted to employees through effective consultation and involvement.
The health, safety and welfare of all employees is an integral part of our business performance. Compliance with legal requirements should be maintained at all times, and no breaches should be tolerated.
Ocean Certification reviews health and safety periodically, taking action if necessary to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with offical structures, legislation, best practice and procedures.
