South Tyneside Homes achieve ISO 14001 certification for their Environmental Management System

Executive Compass Business Consultants believe that they have covered all the angles in achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification

"Increasingly during 2011 we found our competitors to be copying our marketing strategies in a bid to lure potential customers away. We realised that we needed to do something radical that would set us apart, and decided to implement an ISO 9001 management system for checking the quality of our tenders, and then seek third party accredited certification for the system. We believed that in doing so we would be the first professional bid writing firm in the UK to achieve this, and possibly world wide.

We met with Richard O’Neill of Ocean Certification and eventually engaged Ocean as our chosen certification body. The creation and application of the management system was a big task for us, and throughout the audit process Richard and his team insisted that we push the system and understand its’ workings to really give our clients added value. In November 2011 we became the first Company in the UK to be independently certified with UKAS accreditation against the ISO 9001 standard for quality, and that quality is now integral in our PQQ and Tender Writing services.

We received an outstanding service from Ocean Certification, and they ensured the highest compliance in our management system. Sanders Plant & Waste Management Ltd. of Pegswood, Morpeth, Northumberland, are the latest addition to the Ocean client base, having recently achieved certification for their ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

During 2010 Carrier Rental Systems in the UK implemented a company-wide Integrated Management System, and once in place looked for a Certification Body to certify the new system.

Steve Curl, Group ESHQ Manager, said "Ocean were already providing us some EMS certification and this gave us the confidence to engage them for the IMS work. DCT chooses Ocean to certify their new renewable energy division’s integrated management system

DCT Renewable Energy Projects was formed in 2009 to offer a new and exciting service to the Renewables marketplace. They are a cutting-edge construction company, who have quickly evolved as a highly respected contractor within the Water, Power and Utilities industries in England and Scotland. F Burridge & Sons gain ISO 14001 to add to their ISO 9001 certification

Ocean Whets Building Firm's Appetite for Growth

P F Burridge& Sons Ltd. has been trading for over 50 years in North East England, undertaking a range of public and private sector building contracts as well as property maintenance and repairs, electrical, heating, plumbing and shopfitting services.

The 150-strong Burridge team, producing an annual turnover of £15m, sought a recognised standard for their internal Quality Management System (QMS) and collaborated with Ocean Certification to carry out an independent overview.

The final 2 day audit performed by Ocean in early January, gained Burridge UKAS certification to ISO 9001:2008 - a prerequisite for tendering for lucrative new contracts.

Barratt PLC and Ocean agree 3 year contract

Ocean Certification has provided the Barratt Developments PLC with certification services for both their Environmental and Health & Safety management systems since 2005. Following a comprehensive joint review we have recently agreed a new 3 year contract for the continued provision of certification. Ocean is proud to list the Barratt Group as one of its clients and provides certification to all its operating divisions.
