South Tyneside Homes achieve ISO 14001 certification for their Environmental Management SystemNick Huston, Development Manager at South Tyneside Homes, said "this internationally recognised certification acknowledges the company’s commitment to a green agenda in all of its practices, including property management, construction and repair works, storage, recycling and waste management. We are delighted to finally get the certification, but this is just the icing on the cake for us. Over the last 3 years we’ve been developing our environmental management system, and through this process have seen a number of significant reductions of carbon savings across our work practices, resulting in cost savings to us. We had to undergo thorough and rigorous environmental audits by Ocean Certification Ltd, who scrutinised every level of our operations and service provision.." 15/12/2011

Executive Compass Business Consultants believe that they have covered all the angles in achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification"Increasingly during 2011 we found our competitors to be copying our marketing strategies in a bid to lure potential customers away. We realised that we needed to do something radical that would set us apart, and decided to implement an ISO 9001 management system for checking the quality of our tenders, and then seek third party accredited certification for the system. We believed that in doing so we would be the first professional bid writing firm in the UK to achieve this, and possibly world wide. 28/11/2011
